Why do these sites show up on Google and get recommended by AI tools?
An AI assistant asked who to call for a trade in a town does not know who is best. It gives the answer it can be confident in: the company it can find, cross-reference and describe clearly. Local Authority builds that confidence on purpose. The client's website is the hub: fast static HTML, schema markup, a public llms.txt brief, a short quotable answer at the top of every page, question-shaped headings, and one set of facts stated identically everywhere. Around it we publish articles written to be cited, keep the Google Business Profile consistent and active, create listings on the sites the assistants actually cite for that trade and area, publish every finished job to the site, Google, Instagram and Facebook, and build town pages from real work, each leg linking back to the hub. Then we ask the assistants what customers ask, record who they name and where the answer came from, and strengthen what is missing. We do not promise a recommendation. We show the evidence.
What actually moves a local business on Google?
Not what most agencies sell. From running a real contractor's site, these are the levers that matter and how the system pulls each one.
Reviews that mention the town and the job
A review that says a roof was replaced in a named town tells Google exactly what you do and where. We show your reviews on your site and make it easy to share the good ones; we never write or solicit them.
The same facts everywhere
Your name, phone and the wording of your service area are identical on every page, in the structured data, and in every Google and social post. The build fails if a page describes your area differently. Search engines cross-check these facts.
Real local pages
County or area pages that list the real towns you serve, and town pages created only from real jobs there. Thin location pages are the fastest way to get a site demoted; earned ones are among the best things you can have.
An active Google Business Profile
A post for every job and every article, with a real image and a working button. Google rewards profiles that look like a business that is working this week.
A fast site that says what it means
Plain HTML, one clear heading per page, real image sizes, no scripts holding up the page, a proper site map and 404 page, and every old address redirected if you had a site before.
What makes an AI assistant quote a business?
ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI overviews pull answers from pages they can read and trust. Most contractor sites fail at the first step.
The crawlers are allowed in
Many sites block GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and the others by accident through a default setting. Every site we build explicitly allows them in robots.txt.
Everything is in the HTML
AI crawlers do not run JavaScript. Our pages are complete before they leave the server, so every word, including your reviews and latest jobs, is visible to them.
A short answer at the top of every page
A self-contained paragraph that names your business, the service and the area and answers the page's question, written so an assistant can lift it word for word.
Question-shaped headings and marked-up answers
Headings are the questions homeowners ask. Questions and answers are real headings with FAQ structured markup. Key facts sit in simple tables that parse cleanly.
A public brief for AI tools
A file at /llms.txt describes your business in plain text: facts, services, areas, towns with real jobs, articles with their quick answers, and notes for answer engines.
Search engines are told immediately
Every deploy and every new article pings the index services that feed Bing, which in turn feeds ChatGPT search and Copilot.
Facts stated plainly and identically
Answer engines check a claim against other sources. Your facts are written once and reused everywhere, so there is nothing to contradict.
What we will not promise
- A position on Google. Rankings depend on your competition, your reviews, your history and Google's choices. We build the site that gives you the best case and keep it active.
- A number of leads. We can show you the form submissions and calls the site produces; we will not predict them.
- That AI tools will recommend you. We make your site the easiest in your area for them to read and quote. What they do with it is up to them.
Do you practise this yourselves?
Yes. This website is built with the same generator and the same rules as the client sites: static HTML, a short answer on every page, question headings, FAQ markup, an open robots.txt, a brief at /llms.txt, a site map, and one set of facts in one file. You can read our /llms.txt and /robots.txt yourself.
Questions about Google and AI
Do you guarantee first page on Google?
No, and you should walk away from anyone who does. We build the site and the profile activity that give you the best case, and we show you exactly what is being done.
Is this SEO?
It includes everything a good local SEO engagement should include, built into the system rather than billed as a monthly retainer, plus the parts that matter for AI assistants, which most SEO work ignores.
Why does the wording of my service area matter so much?
Because search engines and AI tools compare facts across your site, your Google profile and your posts. If your area is described five different ways, you look less certain than a competitor who says it the same way everywhere. We fix one wording and enforce it.
Will my site still work for people, not just machines?
The things that help machines read a page, speed, plain language, clear headings, direct answers, are the same things a homeowner on a phone wants. Nothing on the page is there only for a crawler.
What is llms.txt?
A plain text file at the root of a website that describes the site for AI tools, the way robots.txt describes it for crawlers. Ours lists your facts, services, areas, towns with jobs, and articles with their quick answers.
Do social posts help my Google ranking?
Not directly, and we will not pretend otherwise. They show your recent work to people who already follow you. The Google ranking levers are reviews, consistent facts, real local pages and Google profile activity.
When someone asks AI who to call, make sure the answer is you.
Book a call. We will ask ChatGPT who to call for your trade in your area while you watch, show you where its answer came from, and tell you plainly what it would take for that answer to be you.
Now accepting founding clients. Built first for a Long Island roofing and siding company.
