Questions owners ask us
These are the questions owners of service businesses ask about Local Authority, answered plainly. In short: your crew takes before and after photos on a phone and picks the town and service; the system writes and checks the caption and post, you approve it, and within about a minute the job is on your website, your Google Business Profile, Instagram and Facebook. Towns with real work earn a page. Two articles a week publish under your name. Review graphics are made from your real Google reviews and posted only when you choose. The words are drafted by an AI model, checked in code against your facts and your never-say list, and never published without you. Pricing is one monthly fee, quoted on a call for founding clients. We have one client so far and we do not claim results we cannot show.
Doing the work
What does my crew actually have to do?
Take a photo before and a photo after, on a phone. Open one private web page, pick the town from a list, tick the service, add the photos, and press Next. Reading the caption and pressing Publish takes another minute.
Do I need a computer?
No. Everything is designed for a phone. The upload page, the review page and the job list all work in the browser you already have.
Can my foreman post jobs?
Yes. Anyone with the private login can upload. You can keep approval to yourself or trust them to publish.
What if I forget to take a before photo?
Post the after photo on its own with a line about the job. The Google post and social posts use the single photo, and the website entry still works.
What if the crew uploads the wrong photos?
The system compares the photos with the service you ticked and warns you before publishing. You can swap photos without starting over.
What gets published
Where does each job go?
Your website's projects page, your Google Business Profile, your Instagram business account and your Facebook page. If the town now has enough real work, its town page too.
Can I turn off Instagram or Facebook for one job?
Yes. Each job has posting options you can switch off before publishing. Google and the website can be switched off too.
What does the post say?
Only what the photos show and your notes say: the town, the service, what was found and what was done. It ends with a one-sentence line in your voice fitted to the job, then your service area, phone, company name, tagline and website. Never a street address, never a price.
Will a customer's address appear?
No. Captions and posts name the town only. That rule is enforced in code.
Can I post a customer's review with the job?
Yes. Paste it in when you upload and it appears under the job's photos on your site, credited to a homeowner in that town, as text.
How the words are written
Who writes the captions and articles?
An AI model drafts them from your photos, your notes and your facts. Every draft is checked in code against your never-say list and your service list. You read and approve jobs before they publish, and you can read any article before it goes out.
Will it sound like a robot?
It is written in plain language and ends in your voice, with a sign-off you approve once. You can edit any word. Our first client's owner reads every post and changes very little, but the point is that he can.
What is a never-say list?
The things your business does not do, places it does not serve, and claims it does not make. For our first client it includes metal, slate, tile and flat roofing, attic work, permits and prices. Every generated text is checked against it before publishing.
Where do the articles get their facts?
From sources on a list we agree with you: manufacturers, weather and safety agencies, government sites. Every link is fetched and must load before an article can publish. Articles never quote prices, percentages or statistics the system cannot source.
Your website
Do I have to replace my current website?
Yes, the site is part of the system: it is what the jobs publish to. We keep your domain and redirect every old page to its new one so your ranking carries over.
Will my site be fast?
Yes. Every page is finished HTML with no scripts holding it up, real image sizes so nothing jumps, and images in modern formats. It is built for a phone in a driveway.
Can people contact me from the site?
A phone number everywhere, a sticky call button on phones, and a contact form protected from bots that emails you and shows a thank-you page.
What is a town page?
A page for one town you serve, created only when you have done two or more jobs there or one job with proper notes, written from those jobs with the photos and services. Not a swapped-in template.
Google and AI
Will I rank higher on Google?
We do not promise rankings. We build the things that matter for local ranking: consistent facts, real local pages, an active Google profile, a fast site, and we make your reviews easy to see. Then we show you what the site does.
What does AI have to do with my roofing company being found?
Homeowners increasingly ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI overview who to call. Those tools read websites that let them in, say things plainly and state facts consistently. Most contractor sites do none of this. Ours do all of it, and we publish a plain-text brief about your business for them at /llms.txt.
Do you handle my Google Business Profile?
We post to it for every job and article, pull your reviews from it, and keep its facts matching your site. You keep ownership and give us manager access.
Money and terms
How much is it?
One monthly fee for the whole system, quoted on the call. We are pricing founding clients individually and will tell you the number straight away.
What else do I pay for?
Possibly the outside services the system uses, such as the connection that posts to Instagram and Facebook, hosting and your domain. We tell you exactly which on the call.
What happens if I cancel?
The site, photos and articles are yours and we hand them over. The automatic posting stops. Terms are in writing before you pay anything.
How many clients do you have?
One, a Long Island roofing and siding company whose site has run on the system since October 2026. We are accepting founding clients now.
When someone asks AI who to call, make sure the answer is you.
Book a call. We will ask ChatGPT who to call for your trade in your area while you watch, show you where its answer came from, and tell you plainly what it would take for that answer to be you.
Now accepting founding clients. Built first for a Long Island roofing and siding company.
